It is true the service in Inno is not good. Ocasionally you will find an assistant who is helpful but that is becoming less and less frequent. I have found myself at the cash desk waiting to pay in a long queue with one desk open and a group of assistants having a chat in the background. In Woluwe I saw one young lad being chastised for unfolding a sweater to have a look at it. I have been looking at a rack of blouses and the assistant is right behind me not to ask if I need any assistance but to rearrange the rack of blouses with a disdainful look. If you want help you have to ask for it. Is it their recruitment service that is at fault? I think that this usually starts from the top and filters down. If the managers are not up to scratch then the staff rarely is. It only survives because it is the only department store in Belgium and people do like to find everything under one roof. One good thing to happen in Inno in rue Neuve in recent times is the new look shoe department and the layout of it. A much more modern and up to date approach. Younger staff I notice. That is my reason for giving two stars. My answer to the people who are pleased with the service in Inno is that they have not been to other department stores in other big cities in Europe to see how the retailing industry should be approached. Having said all that I have found exactly the same type of service in other shops in Brussels.
My 12 years-old daughter had finished her school exams on Wednesday. So, I decided to give her a little gift, and she asked for Anaïs Anaïs flanker, Premier Délice. Yesterday we went to INNO Rue Neuve (Brussels/Belgium) to buy her fragrance. I've asked my daughter to test it first. Little note - she already had in mind the fragrance, and didn't test anything else. Big surprise: a very rude security guard began to scold my daughter, saying that she should not perfume himself. I could not understand why that guy was being so rude! She had tears in her eyes. My daughter is a very sweet girl and not used to being treated like that. So, thank you so much INNO Rue Neuve for ruining an experience that should have been pleasurable, and congratulations for making a 12 years-old girl cry. You should be proud of yourself!
Honestly I was a bit taken aback by a number of negative reviews. Since I live and work not far from Inno, I find it quite handy. It's a bit crowded on weekends but it's great for shopping after work on Fridays. I tend to arrive at 18:30- 19:00 and it's almost empty. This shop is bigger than the ones at Louise or Woluwe shopping, I find the selection is of greater variety too. Obviously you'd get more choice if you go each brand's boutique separately, and you might find a better bargain elsewhere. But that is providing you are ready to sacrifice one or two entire days just to shop, and eventually you'd be tired and you'd probably end up buying the next best thing anyway :) I personally like the fact that I can pop in twice a month after work and restock my beauty products supplies, grab a nice pair of tights, buy some clothes, and, if needed, I can buy a matching scarf and a handbag, and shoes - all in one place. they even have a decent choice for home design. I mean that's the idea of a department store, isn't it? It's not about highly personalized and lengthy shopping experience. It's about convenience: you get the essentials of pretty much everything, it's quick and you're done with your shopping in a couple of hours max so that you can do something more exciting with your weekend. At least, that's how it works for me...
Worst store in Europe. Staff are arrogant, lazy and unhelpful. BTW the staff good do with a smart uniform that makes them look professional. Oh, that's right theybare unprofessional and rude. Apart from that it's the bestvstore in Brussels coz its the only department store. My rating would be -5 but .......
I have an Inno card only thing its good for is parking, The staff are so up them self's its unreal, As its people like me who keep them in a job, Its like they're doing you a favor or something, I dont want to sound bad but i dont think any of them would be spending their money there as its prob too expensive for them, Just because they work there and wear nice clothes dont mean they own the place yet they look at you like you cant afford to buy, It really needs to be brought up to date fashion Wise not all of us are in our 60's no offence, but have a mix of fashion to suit all ages, I rather go to Antwerp much better choice of shops there and Customer service is a lot more friendly .
I am a fresh comer in Brussels and I thought to give a try at Inno. Well... that was the very first and the very last time shopping from that store. The wrapping of the christmas gifts is made by girls who lack experience and a good taste and the "get over with it" feeling is very well spread at the wrapping table. This incident was a big minus to me since I am one of the persons who pay attention on the presentation of a gift. Yet, the top "NEVER again at Inno's" occured when I spent a small fortune on Hugo Boss mens clothing and: - the ties where wrapped on the white paper (not even in an inno labeled tie pack) - instead of taking off the price, they prefered to take off the labels from the clothing; - no box for the belts; so my two belts ended up with serious scratches - no original box on anything; - actually, no box on anything. - Hugo Boss store in Louize is just around the corner Bigger variety, better service, and original packing! I trully wish not to leave a rating - yet, the system can not proceed without your rating. So, one star is frankly not the case for Inno.
