A great salon! It's hard finding a good hairdresser is Brussels- but finally I have! I have thicker than average hair and it's quite dark and unruly. Getting a decent cut/colour in this city seemed to be the hardest thing in the world. If I ever wanted anything more than a simple trim, I often ended ... Squiggle 25/04
Disappointing experience. Colour is not what i wanted at all. Cut was so rough I had to soften it myself. Owner didn t smile or say a word to me, she was on her phone at all times. I paid 160 EUR for bad color and bad cut. No creativity for cut, don t know the basic like fringe or making a swipe.. I d say super un professional. If u like fashion, creativity, profesionnalism.. look elsewhere
I have had a cut with Ismael 3 times here and it's been perfect every single time! He has an eye for detail and though I'm in love with my bob, is always looking for ways to improve it and give a fresh shade. It is getting as bad as random people in the street commenting on my great hair :) Definitely to recommend. It's an experienced group of hairdressers who have worked for the best places in Brussels and now have opened one of their own.
I am pretty shocked this place has such a high rating. I don't really like giving bad reviews but in cases like this I feel the rating is so misrepresentative that I need to speak up. After 3 great years of haircare at another salon my stylist went on a personal leave with no indication when she would return so I was forced to find a new person. I decided to give this place a try based on the consistently high reviews here on Yelp. From the minute I walked in I should have known it wasn't going to be great. The space is small, oddly organized, outdated and unfortunately outright dirty. Candy did my hair and was incredibly nice. So nothing against her personally at all. But I have to say the entire experience was totally disappointing. She gave me a quick wash while chatting with her friends who worked there (and were sitting around with no clients). She then asked me what I wanted. After describing (and showing some pics of what I did and did not want) how I wanted my [long, layered] hair trimmed, she set to work. She was friendly and chatty which was pleasant but there didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to how she was cutting my hair. In the end my hair came out very mediocre. It felt like one of those cuts where she accidentally did OK. If I go back again it might turn out horrible or it might turn out OK again. Generally it seemed like she was just cutting here and there and wasn't executing any technique. The final straw was that when I went to pay at the end they said it was $125. When I made my appointment over the phone they had told me it was going to be $60. It felt more like a $35 haircut. I am surprised by the rating this salon received from others. Maybe they write the reviews themselves to attract clients.
Fantastic salon! I went today for the first time (after reading the positive reviews on this site) and could not be happier. The service was incredible, the colour that Candy did is amazing and the general atmosphere in the salon was really friendly. I didn't know too much what I wanted but I needed a change/lift and Candy had great vision and the result is great. I booked my children in when I was leaving and can't wait for my own next appointment back there. And all of the cuts & blowdrys, male and female, that they did while I was there were brilliant too. I cannot recommend it highly enough!
I was very pleased with my cut from Ismael and my colour from Candy. My hair was not in good shape after a bad cut and colour 6 weeks previously from another salon. But Ismael and Candy are very professional. I was a bit anxious but they put me at ease and listened to what I wanted. What I really like about it is that, unlike a lot of other salons, it doesn't feel rushed. I would recommend Size and I will be going back - I already have my next appointment booked.
