Welcome to the Magic Mirrors’ tent in Brussels!

Magic Mirrors (or Spiegeltents) are hand-hewn pavilions used as traveling dance halls, bars and entertainment salons since they were created in the early 20th century.
There are only a hand-full of these unique and legendary ‘tents of mirrors’ left in the world today. Built of wood, mirrors, canvas, leaded glass and detailed in velvet and brocade, each has its own personality and style. The Magic Mirror tents were the domain of the night owls, heartbreakers and dream chasers. They were legendary and are a symbol of the wild "fin-de-siècle" nightlife. The most beautiful of the last remaining Belgian Spiegeltents is located at the site of Tour & Taxis in Brussels.
Nowadays this Magic tent is become a cultural meeting place that reflects the identity of Brussels: authentic, art nouveau, expressive, atmosphere, nostalgic, burlesque and multicultural. The Magic Mirrors has become a meeting place where the heart of Brussels beats. Some people describe our atmosphere as the second ‘Quartier Marolles’: a mix of history, diversity with a multicultural open-mindedness. The charm of the wooden art Nouveau construction was and still is the very essence of the total experience and expresses the warm feeling of the authentic Brussels.
