I've tried many Japanese sushi places in Brussels, but this small sushi place I've found is the best! Very fresh fishes with traditional sushi rice (with real Japanese rice), and the price is really reasonable. I had a large sushi set with miso soupe plus a seaweed salad cost only 17euros! And the taste is really nice! The most important thing to me is they open from 11am ~ 18pm non-stop, so when I need to have late lunch I always can have sushi! Cool!
Service is very nice, small shop but clean well organized. The Japanese guy at the counter gives warm service, he even provide travel information of Japan to my friend who's going to visit too, very details he gave her addresses for shopping and important hints in Japan!
I'll give 5 stars also!
P.S.: Many Japanese places in Brussels claimed they're Japanese, but in fact TOO MANY of those are opened by Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai or even European... What could be better to have Japanese food prepared by the real Japanese?
I've been there again last week and I recognize the cute Japanese guy at the counter is the fashion model I've seen his photos in magazines! He's polite and handsome, very good service too!
Their sushis are so nice and not expensive at all!
Cute guy + delicious sushi!
Very good combination! :-)
I'm an Asian food addict. I worked in Asia for serveral years. Since I'm back I'm always hunting for real Asian food.
This small shop actually is a Japanese Take Away (very rare to have a real Japanese take away in Brussels) as 90% of Japanese restos here are fake, are opened by Chinese people.
They serve traditional Japanese food for take away, the price is really reasonable, seafood are fresh cut each day (I can see they cut fresh fish every time I go there), many nice choices, during lunch time they offer a home make miso soup with a purchase of a box of sushi; they even have Onigiri! I've been looking for this long time since I was back from Japan, it has the same taste as the one I had from my Japanese colleague's mother!
My Japanese colleagues learn me their staffs and the chef are Japanese, and they are the food supplier for the staffs to the Japanese consulate in Brussels, which gives me confindence in them!
The only thing cause inconvenience is their staffs speaks not good English or French, actually it's fine because it shows they're the real Japanese sushi place, but as all the food has price lable, if you don't have a complicated question it doesn't bother at all! Or if you speak Japanese that won't have a problem. :)
I'll recommand this Japanese Take Away Shop with 5 stars!
