Odette en Ville

I went to Odette en Ville last Friday evening. The place obviously wants to present itself as exclusive, stylish, cutting-edge etc., but all this translates into is that it's so dark inside you can't even read the menu, there's constant, excessively loud (new age? tribal?) music playing (even where you eat) and it's overpriced in my opinion. Another thing that struck me was that the service was poor - our initial drink order was bungled despite being simple and there was generally a lack of initiative or even of a willingness to smile or show any interest in the customers. The staff didn't even have the sense to apologize for bringing the wrong drinks, instead just shuffling off sullenly. The fact that this establishment, clearly trying to be the epitome of chic and modernity to extract cash from the "cream" of Brussels, can't even find appropriate staff is just sad. I won't be back, and I would strongly discourage anyone else from bothering either.

Nice and cozy - staff not motivated, very slow, unfriendly and not open at all - shame

I've been to Odette a couple of times already.
At first the place looks warm and cosy, but as you stay you realize the staff isn't as charm as the deco of the place and the price is too high for what they can offer.
The food isn't so great, and in Belgium isn't hard to find nice price and nice food.
In Chatelain there are plenty of nice places to eat, will be hard for them to keep the resto full-booked.
Right now is quite easy. Is new. But that's all.
