"Refresh your life with healthy juices", this is the concept of Guapa in a few words. The small but very cute shop propose vitamined coktails, all made in front of you. You can elaborate your own one and choose the size and the ingredients (fruits, vegetables, spices), or choose between their delicious combinations. Hungry? Soups, salads, sandwichs, are home made and very tasty (with a little mediterranean touch). To eat in or to take away, and open from 7AM to 7PM, this for me a perfect place for a healthy break, all day long. ...
My favourite moment of the day is the coffee break and, after two years in Italy, I can assure you that the staff of the Illy bar is expert in the difficult art of serving coffee. You can ask them every type of coffee from the simple espresso to the latte macchiato, they will do it perfectly. The decoration of the bar is modern and simple. Really disliked the attitude from the staff. My monthly fee was over 80 euros per month and the services I received were not good. The fitness instructors were often not very motivating and sometimes just boring. There was one or two classes I liked but aside from that I didn't find any of their services very useful. I never even had an orientation session, which was supposed to happen within the first month there... and when I had some personal problems that impeded me from going for a whole month, they still charged me and refused to even consider my request to prolong the contract by a month or two weeks or anything... I got the impression that all they wanted was money but didn't give much in return. If they expect to keep clients or to have good recommendations they need to start paying more attention to their client's needs and be a little more polite.
What's even more, when I wanted to cancel my contract they told me that I have to make an appointment - which is during workhours! - and I have to come in and speak with someone and sign a paper and if I didn't do that by the end of the month I would be automatically charged for another month! Why couldn't they just let me sign the paper when I was there and asked to end my contract?!?!
Very unpleased with this club and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. ...
The simplicity of the sign and the discretion of the frontage make you doubt... Is this a contemporary art gallery or one of the most delicate Vietnamese restaurants in Brussels? The last suggestion is the good one… An excellent address where they serve one of the best Vietnamese Cuisine of the Capital in a VERY unexpected design.
Le Yen doesn’t forget its vegetarian’s customers to who they propose their aubergines cooked with tofu and tomatoes or else, their fried bamboos, mushrooms, carrots, beans and tofu. Mmmm. Lunch for 9 euros ;-) ...
Après avoir réservé une table de 25 personnes pour s'entendre dire qu'on était très chanceux car les grands groupe comme ça un samedi, on en prend pas (c'est qui le client au juste?), nous avons opté pour le seul choix qui se présentait à nous pour un prix correct : un menu à 25 euros. De prime abord plutôt prometteur, il s'est avéré qu'une fois à table, il fut très décevant.
Je ne peux pas dire que c'était mauvais, mais les plats étaient vraiment ordinaires, manquaient de saveurs, bref, on mange mieux chez soi. En entrée, une salade au concombre et à la fêta et un mille feuilles d'aubergines (tout deux pas très raffinés). En plat, une assiette envahie de mange-tout et parsemés de dés de boeuf, sans épices. La bombe au chocolat en dessert était bonne mais je ne sais pas si elle était faite sur place. Bref, j'ai trouvé les prix surfaits pour la qualité du repas. J'ai passé une bonne soirée même si tout le monde semblait un peu déçu.
Ceci dit, le cadre est splendide et le concept est super pour y passer un anniversaire (resto-discothèque). Si l'occasion se présente, j'y retournerais pour boire un verre mais plus pour y manger. ...
Les ateliers de la grande île, Russian restaurant where you can also catch some top quality vodkas without eating. There are always musicians performing, sometimes terrible…but sometimes fabulous. It is in the St-Géry district. I drank my first real vodka (Nothing to do with those ugly brand as Bokland). Now, I know the boss (old delirious alcoholic homo, really cool) and his nephew, in kitchen. Therefore, I go from time to time. They have incredible vodkas! ...
